I LOVE my Kindle. I was given one for Mother's Day from my wonderful husband, and I really have been enjoying it. Life is pretty busy with three children, and before I got my Kindle, I often wondered how I would find time to read. If I was lucky and remembered my book, I would be able to grab snippets of time while waiting to pick up children from school, waiting with the kids in the car while hubby makes a grocery run, etc. Now that I have a Kindle, it is easy to grab it and stick it in my purse, or leave in the car. I can now finish novels! I can upload books on it very easily, and I was THRILLED when I realized how many FREE books there are! I went crazy there for a while -- I uploaded Russian folk tales, 18th century children's stories, A Girl of the Limberlost...this thing ROCKS!
I am including a $50 gift card to help with book purchases, or even a Kindle cover. I HIGHLY recommend a JAVOedge book case. Holding onto a teeny little Kindle in my clumsy hands makes me a bit nervous -- I like hang onto something more substantial. The JAVOedge holds my Kindle very securely. I have no fears of it falling out at all. I really like the styles, as well.
Here is mine:
It is selling on Amazon for $29.99 at this time. JAVOedge Cherry Blossom Book Case for Amazon Kindle 3 (Ocean Blue) - Latest Generation
They also make some really nice ones with book lights. The possibilities seem endless!
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: If you do not want a Kindle, I have another option. I will substitute a $150 gift card from your choice of Target, Walmart, or Amazon.com.
Now, for the details:
All you need is $5 for each entry.
That's it! For instance, if you donate $50, you get 10 entries. Just click on the badge to the right with the picture of Nicholas' face, and it will take you to the donation page. There will be a yellow "donate" button under his description. There is also a "donate" button on this page to the right, under Nicholas' badge. Easy breezy...AND when you donate this way, it is tax-deductible.
AND, you can get entries by sharing about this fundraiser. For every blog post you publish, tweet you Twitter, or announcement on Facebook about this fundraiser, you will get an additional entry. Follow this blog and you will get an entry as well.
VERY IMPORTANT: Contact me with the amount you donated so I can give you the appropriate number of entries, and let me know about the additional entries that you have earned. The donation link does not give me info on who donated what, just the amount that it all totals. You can comment here, or leave a comment on my Facebook page, or email me at katie.whereisthumbkin@gmail.com
I will draw the lucky name on Friday, July 15th! 22nd!
(in the event that this fundraiser does not produce enough donations to pay for the Kindle/gift card, I will extend the drawing date)
